BCA™ COACHING ESSENTIALS
ICF Level 1 Program
The program contains 2 courses to complete:
- Core Skills Course: 3 full-day OR 6 half-days of coursework (interactive) + 3 practice labs + 2 mentor sessions for solid grounding in business coaching fundamentals
- Credential Course: 9 practice labs + 2 mentor sessions w/ written feedback, to further skill development and complete training requirements for ICF ACC credential
After submission of the Learning Portfolio, faculty will complete the evaluation process for ICF ACC credential with participants.
Completing BCA Coaching Essentials in full meets the training and evaluation requirements in order to apply for an ICF Level 1 credential (once the required number of client coaching hours is met).

The Business Coaching Advantage Coaching Essentials Program is an ICF Level 1 Program.
Graduates of this program meet the training mentoring and performance evaluation requirements for the ICF ACC credential.
The program provides:
- in depth coverage of a coach approach to supporting and developing leaders in a business context.
- an introduction to the unique and practical Coaching Advantage™ integrative framework of the five key components essential for leadership coaching.
- coverage of the core coaching skills to enable you to effectively integrate the essential components into business coaching conversations.
- is highly interactive and engaging.
- that blends exposure to frameworks, models, tools and skills with engaging experiential activities and practice.
- includes self-directed study, allowing for paced learning and deeper exploration.
- provides peer coaching practice, supervision and mentoring that reinforce integration of learning in practice and application of learning in your coaching context.

- focused learning that helps you gain confidence, capability and competence.
- shifts occur at several levels, including shifts in you: Intentions, Attention, Mindset, Behaviors and Practices, and Skills.

BCA™ COACHING ADVANCED
ICF Level 2 Program
(Prerequisite: BCA Coaching Essentials and/or previous coach training and experience)
The learning in the BCA Advanced program is organized in two main parts – content and hands-on practice.
The program blends content with extensive hands-on practice with feedback and reflection. As you already know, what you gain from a learning opportunity like this depends on what you put into it. Moreover, your active participation helps set the stage for the level of learning of everyone in the group. Our invitation as you step into BCA Advanced is to do so fully, bringing and giving of yourself, in service of your own and other learning.
Coursework:
10 Week Virtual Classes
Six content modules with opportunities for practice. (2 hrs. per week)
Practicum:
Skills Development: 8 group mentoring labs offering intensive coaching practice, reflection and feedback from the group, the instructors, both oral and written. (2 hrs. per week)
Coaching Practice: 20 hours of coaching practice + peer coaching
Mentoring: Two individual one-on-one mentoring sessions.
Learning Portfolio:
Participants will put together a learning portfolio containing the following:
- Written reflections for 4 mentoring labs;
- Log for 20 hours of coaching;
- Follow-up reflections on Case Presentation

The Business Coaching Advantage Advanced Program is an ICF Level 2 Program.
Graduates of this program meet the training mentoring and performance evaluation requirements for the ICF PCC credential.
The overall learning intentions for the Advanced program are to:
- Develop capacity to more clearly see the potential that is available in each conversation, and then to equip
coaches to stretch themselves and their clients to realize more of that potential. - Expanding coaches’ perspectives on the range of conversations that are possible with clients, given the topics that
they bring forward. - Build on the conversation frames, models and tools introduced in BCA Coaching Essentials, adding new
perspectives and ways of thinking about coaching conversations. - Explore ways we can more skilfully include more of our client’s worlds – inner and outer – in our coaching
conversations - Elevate coaching skills and competencies; using the skills and competencies in a more integrated and coherent
way so that each skill enhances and elevates the impact of the other. - Focus on the coach’s quality of presence and how this underpins all the other coaching competencies.
